A new survey has found the average salary of a remote teacher in Australia is $35,000 a year.
A new ABC/Wires study found the median salary of the average teacher in the country is $34,000.
The average teacher also earns more than $200,000 more than a full-time teacher.
The study, which surveyed 991 teachers in 11 states, found that the average remote teaching salary is $38,000, compared to $30,000 for full-timers and $35 for remote teachers.
But the study also found the national average teacher salary for a full time teacher is $33,000 and the average full-timer salary is less than $18,000 ($33,500-17,000).
The average salary for the average paid remote teacher is about $31,000 with an average of $34 per hour.
However, the study said the national median salary for remote teaching is $28,500.
The ABC contacted several teachers in Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia and Northern Territory to get their views on the study.
